March 12, 2020
Dear Valued South Dakota Symphony Orchestra Patrons,
The South Dakota Symphony Orchestra has been closely monitoring the outbreak of the Coronavirus. The health of our audiences, artists, and staff is paramount; we are especially appreciative of this entire community for taking proactive measures to limit the spread of the virus.
The City of Sioux Falls made the announcement today to take an additional measure in protecting our community with a directive to limit gatherings in city-owned facilities to less than 250 people through March 26th. As the City of Sioux Falls owns the Washington Pavilion, this directive applies to South Dakota Symphony Orchestra concerts.
Due to these unforeseen circumstances, the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra concert, “the Music of John Williams,” will not be performed on March 21 and 22, 2020 as planned. We wish to keep the music alive, and in this spirit, we are currently exploring the options for this anticipated performance. If you have tickets to either of these performances, we will soon communicate in detail a variety of options to address your current tickets.
Thank you for your support and enthusiasm for the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra.
