Augustana String Quartet

 

 


 

 

 

 

Christian Zamora is the associate principal first violinist with the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra and a member of the Augustana String Quartet. Zamora has music degrees from the University of Wisconsin- Madison and ENCORE School for Strings. He has participated in the St. Lawrence String Quartet Seminar at Stanford University and numerous masterclasses and coaching with people such as Thomas Rosenberg, Margo Garret, Tim Lovelace, and Lydia Artemew. Mr. Zamora served as Concertmaster for the Mississippi Valley Orchestra in Minneapolis, MN and the Puccini Festival Orchestra in Kansas City, MO.

 

Justyna Solida Lutow is associate principal second violinist for the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra and a member of the Augustana String Quartet. She received her Master's and Bachelor's of Music degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison as a student of David Perry.  She has appeared as soloist with the Illinois Wesleyan Civic Orchestra and the Windy City String Ensemble and the York Symphony Orchestra.  Ms. Lutow served as second violinist for the Hunt Quartet and a violinist in the Solidar Quintet, which was a semi-finalist in the Fischoff Chamber Music Competition.  Ms. Lutow has played in master classes given by Rachel Barton Pine, Keith Conant, Sharon Polifrone, Mark Johnson of the Vermeer Quartet, the Pacifica Quartet, as well David Finkel of the Emerson Quartet.  Justyna is a recipient of numerous awards, including the Molendorf Scholarship.

 

I-Chun Chiang is an associate principal violist for the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra and a member of the Augustana String Quartet. She was born in Taiwan and received her Bachelor of Arts from National Taiwan Normal University. Chiang received her Master of Music in Viola Performance from the University of Michigan. She is currently working on her Doctoral of Musical Art in Viola Performance from The University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music. Chiang previously acted as Assistant Principal Viola in the Aspen Chamber Symphony and most recently played with the Richmond Symphony Orchestra in Richmond, IN.

 

Kathryn Hufnagle is associate principal cellist with the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra and a member of the Augustana String Quartet.  She recieved her Master of Music degree in 2007 from the Cleveland Institute of Music and her undergraduate degree from the New England Conservatory of Music, Boston. Hufnagle has performed with the American Academy of Conducting Orchestra in Aspen, CO; the Canton Symphony Orchestra, Mansfield Symphony, New Bedford Symphony, National Repertory Symphony and the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra. She most recently studied with Stephen Graber and Michael Reynolds.
