Event Overview:

The South Dakota Symphony Orchestra presents Dvořák’s “New World” Symphony. The first half of the performance will be a lecture-demonstration, contextualizing composer Antonín Dvořák’s work at discovering the sound of American music as influenced by Native American music and culture in relation to his “New World” Symphony. The program will also feature the Creekside Singers, a Lakota drumming group, alongside the SDSO.
