Bach / St. Matthew Passion

Experience the glory of Bach live with your South Dakota Symphony and Chorus.  Both monumental and intimate, St. Matthew Passion continues to move audiences three centuries after its first performance for Good Friday vesper services.  The work will be presented in its original German but with English translations projected above the stage to help you fully immerse yourself-whether you are sitting in the concert hall or watching our livestream.

Join SDSO Assistant Conductor Thomas Fortner as he leads a pre-concert talk highlighting interesting features of the concert that evening. This fast-paced and energetic lecture takes place in the north lobby of the third floor prior to every Saturday evening Classical Concert.
