Welcome to your South Dakota Symphony Orchestra League 2025-26 season!

The League is celebrating its 70th year!

The South Dakota Symphony Orchestra League is dedicated to the support of the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra by promoting and encouraging the understanding and appreciation of the study of and art of music in adults and students.

The South Dakota Symphony Orchestra League is a group of volunteers dedicated to supporting the SDSO by promoting and encouraging the understanding, appreciation and study of the art of music through:

• Concert preview luncheons with Maestro Gier and guest artists
• Preschool music appreciation programs
• Docent/educational programs in elementary schools
• Young Musician Concerto Competition
• Young People’s Concerts
• Operational and financial support for SDSO and SDSO Youth Orchestras

All of these programs require financial resources to sustain them. The League is able to support these programs through membership dues and fundraising. Additionally, the League provides hundreds of hours of volunteer time to these programs.
