We invite you to the 2021-22 centennial season, marking 100 years of bringing great music to the great people of South Dakota! Music Director Delta David Gier has carefully crafted a lineup worthy of all who have made this centennial celebration possible, showcasing local artists and sounds. The new season begins with South Dakota’s very own Maya Anjali Buchanan as soloist for Beethoven’s show-stopping Violin Concerto and concludes with a World Premiere event, written especially for the occasion by Pulitzer and Grammy award winning composer John Luther Adams! The music this season contains great imagination and depth of spirit. There are programs which incorporate the wide range of cultures represented in our city and state, and create space for understanding and community-building. Of course, each program will display the thrilling virtuosity of the musicians and artistic partners.
