Dominic Dagostino

Dominic Dagostino is an active flutist in the Chicago area. He currently holds the Piccolo/Flute 3 chairs in the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra, West Virginia Symphony Orchestra, Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra, and most recently the Rockford Symphony Orchestra.

Dominic graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston University with a Bachelor of Music. He also received a Master of Music from The Boston Conservatory and was winner of both the Jan and Beattie Wood Concerto Competition as well as the Boston Conservatory Honors Chamber Competition while there. His teachers include Linda Toote, Ann Bobo, and Houston Symphony Piccolo player Kathryn Ladner. Dominic also received a Performer’s Certificate from DePaul University under the tutelage of St. Louis Symphony Principal Flutist, Mark Sparks.

Mr. Dagostino has been Co-Principal Flute of the Lake Tahoe Music Festival and has also performed with the International Contemporary Ensemble, Vermont Mozart Festival, and the Brevard Music Center Orchestra under the batons of notable conductors such as Keith Lockhart, JoAnn Falletta, and Matthias Bamert. In his free time Dominic thoroughly enjoys baking, reading, hiking, and doing yoga.
